Lesson 5 builds on Lesson 4 by exploring the ways in which students negotiate consent (or permission) in day-to-day relationships, for example by sharing with friends or saying no when they do not want to do something. Messages about intuition and the “yell-go-tell” strategy are reinforced and we introduce safety planning.
1. Introduce the concept of consent
2. Enable students to practice navigating consent situations via role-play
1. Have a computer setup that is connected to a projector with A/V capabilities.
2. Ensure students have access to paper and colored pencils/crayons/markers to draw with.
