Recognize, respond to, and prevent bullying and peer-to-peer abuse effectively
Bullying and peer-to-peer abuse create harmful environments that affect academic performance, mental health, and overall well-being. This workshop provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of different forms of bullying, including physical, verbal, relational, and cyberbullying, as well as the power dynamics that enable these behaviors. Participants will learn to recognize warning signs in both victims and perpetrators, understand the long-term impacts of bullying, and implement effective intervention strategies. The workshop also covers how to create cultures of respect and inclusion that prevent bullying before it starts, support affected youth in healing and building resilience, and empower bystanders to become upstanders who actively interrupt harm.
