This workshop provides participants with valuable insights into engaging in the challenging yet essential conversations surrounding subjects like war, death, and loss when interacting with kids and teens. Participants will learn how to engage in meaningful dialogues with children and practical techniques for building a strong, supportive community within schools and educational environments during times of crisis. As mental health crises rise in children and youth, this workshop focuses on building coping skills. The workshop explores recognizing and adapting emotions, creating positive self-stories, and practicing mindfulness. Through conversation and tools, participants will help children lay the groundwork for understanding their feelings and those of others.
