Understand root causes of violence and learn to disrupt cycles of harm in youth
Interpersonal violence, including dating, domestic, and sexual violence, as well as stalking, affects every community and crosses all demographic boundaries. Understanding how power, privilege, and systems of oppression contribute to increased vulnerability is key to prevention. In this training, participants will explore the root causes of interpersonal violence, identify risk and protective factors, and learn practical strategies to disrupt cycles of harm. This session also focuses on how to create safe, supportive spaces for youth to seek help and guidance. Participants will leave prepared to recognize warning signs, respond with compassion, and connect young people to critical resources using Nest's resource guide.
