Recognize warning signs of radicalization and guide youth toward safer online engagement
Violent extremism and hate have become more sophisticated and more accessible through digital platforms that spread harmful ideas at unprecedented speed. Young people are growing up in online spaces where extremist propaganda, recruitment tactics, and hate speech are just a click away. In this workshop, we explore the critical connection between digital literacy and radicalization, learn to recognize early warning signs, and understand how online hate directly impacts targeted groups. We'll also cover practical tools for intervening with vulnerable youth, promoting digital safety, and responding effectively when incidents occur. Participants will leave better equipped to guide young people in navigating online spaces safely, rejecting harmful narratives, and becoming forces for inclusion, equality, and positive dialogue.
