Build resilience through gratitude practices and self-compassion
Resilience is the ability to bounce back from challenges, adapt to adversity, and continue moving forward with purpose and strength. This workshop explores three essential components of resilience: grit (the perseverance to keep going despite obstacles), gratitude (the practice of appreciating what we have), and compassion (kindness toward ourselves and others during difficult times). Participants will also explore the neurobiology of resilience, understanding how our brains respond to stress and how we can strengthen neural pathways that support emotional regulation and recovery. Participants will engage in practical exercises to build these skills, learn how they interconnect to create lasting resilience, and discover how to model these qualities. Whether facing personal setbacks, academic pressures, or emotional challenges, developing grit, gratitude, and compassion equips participants with the tools to navigate life's difficulties with greater confidence, hope, and emotional strength.
