Lesson Overview

Building on vocabulary and ideas from previous lessons, students will explore how their individual identities come together to create a strong classroom community. Students will assemble all the parts of their Kindness Bridges and place them on the wall in a long bridge, representing their Classroom Bridge of Kindness.

Lesson Objectives

  • Understand the value of belonging and respect.
  • Define identity.
  • Reflect on how our unique identities make us a stronger community.

how to prepare for this lesson

Students will cut out their bridge and pieces from previous lessons and assemble them all together to create one long Classroom Bridge of Kindness during this lesson. This could be on a designated board or wall in the classroom. The bridge should be assembled on a wall or board where they can stay until the next/last lesson of the unit.
