How Might We Handle Rejection?

60 minutes

This lesson is currently under review with Nest Educational Advisors. Please check back later for updates.

This lesson explores the complex dynamics of rejection and resilience, helping students understand and process these emotions constructively. Through journaling and an inside/outside circle discussion activity centered around a Nikki Giovanni quote, students examine how rejection feels from different perspectives. The lesson then introduces attributes of resilient people using metaphors and an "Imagiphor" activity where students analyze and create visual representations of resilience concepts. Students conclude by developing personal gratitude practices to build emotional strength.
