how to prepare for this lesson

In this lesson, students will complete work on their Mental Health Advocacy Projects. Groups should have their Mental Health Advocacy Project Handouts completed and out for reference. Depending on what type of projects students chose at the end of last lesson, have available project materials out and ready for students to use. While students are working, you may choose to leave Slide 5 (mental health supports at school)  up for their reference.  Allow for 25 minutes for students to complete their projects. Be sure to leave enough time for students to present.

This lesson will end with a meditation focused on mental wellness. Please ensure to pre-check video before class, as internet policies may vary among schools, to ensure accessibility. Students will use their Feelings Wheel Handouts at the end of the meditation to reflect on how they are feeling.
