Digital Dynamics: Understanding Dehumanization & Social Media Responsibility

60 minutes

This lesson is currently under review with Nest Educational Advisors. Please check back later for updates.

In this lesson, students analyze historical propaganda, advertising examples, and current social media patterns, to explore how dehumanizing language and scapegoating create conditions where violence becomes more acceptable. Students examine concepts of dehumanization and scapegoating through journaling and group work, ultimately creating Digital Literacy Action Plans to help younger students recognize and respond to these patterns online.
