What Makes an Active Bystander?

60 minutes

This lesson is currently under review with Nest Educational Advisors. Please check back later for updates.

This lesson empowers students to become active bystanders in their communities by learning and practicing intervention strategies. Through personal reflection, group discussion, and interactive activities, students explore barriers to intervention and learn the "5 Ds" methodology for safe intervention. The lesson culminates in a creative group activity where students design "active bystander machines" to demonstrate how different intervention strategies can work together effectively.
