LESSON

Seven

Consent & Rejection

60 minutes

This lesson is currently under review with Nest Educational Advisors. Please check back later for updates.

In this lesson, students examine consent in everyday situations using a modified fishbowl discussion format where permission must be requested to participate. Students reflect on personal experiences with consent through journaling exercises that examine both the emotional aspects of giving and receiving consent, as well as the dynamics of having permission denied. The lesson uses the "Tea and Consent" video as a metaphor to understand consent principles, followed by students creating their own consent metaphors using everyday activities.
